Hideaway House

Overview

Hideaway House tucked away at 231 AZ-179 suite b, Sedona, AZ 86336, United States is one of those rare spots that makes you feel instantly at home. Walking in, you’re greeted with a warm, cozy atmosphere that perfectly matches the laid-back vibe of Sedona. I remember the first time I visited; the soft lighting and rustic wooden dΓ©cor immediately made me forget the hustle outside. It’s not just a diner-it feels like a gathering place where locals and travelers come together over good food and conversation.

The menu at Hideaway House is impressively diverse, blending classic American comfort dishes with a few creative twists that make every visit exciting. One of my personal favorites is their house-made pasta, which is cooked to perfection and paired with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I tried the Southwest Chicken Pasta, and the blend of spices was just the right balance-zesty without being overpowering. On another visit, the Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger caught my attention. The patty was juicy, and the bacon had that perfect crispiness, while the avocado added a creamy richness that made every bite memorable. According to data from local restaurant reviews, diners consistently rate these dishes among the top choices for comfort food in Sedona.

What sets this diner apart is not just the food but the attention to detail in the service and environment. Servers are knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, often sharing personal favorites and suggestions based on seasonal ingredients. During one evening visit, a staff member explained how they source their fresh vegetables from nearby farms, which immediately gave me confidence in the quality and sustainability of what I was eating. In fact, a study from the National Restaurant Association highlights that restaurants promoting local sourcing often see higher customer satisfaction and repeat visits, which explains why Hideaway House has such a loyal following.

The location at 231 AZ-179 suite b is incredibly convenient, nestled near Sedona’s scenic attractions, making it a perfect stop after a hike or sightseeing tour. The diner’s layout allows for both casual meals and small gatherings, with comfortable seating arrangements that encourage lingering over conversations. One time, I noticed a family celebrating a birthday, and the staff went out of their way to create a personalized experience, adding a cheerful touch to what was already a charming meal. Such attention to detail demonstrates a level of care that goes beyond ordinary dining.

Desserts at Hideaway House deserve their own mention. Their chocolate lava cake, served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, is a crowd favorite. It’s rich but not overly sweet, and the presentation is as inviting as the taste. Additionally, the coffee program here is surprisingly strong. Local reviews often praise the house blend for its robust flavor, which pairs perfectly with morning pastries or an afternoon dessert.

I’ve also noticed that Hideaway House maintains a consistent focus on customer feedback, adjusting menu items and service elements based on genuine reviews. This responsiveness adds to its credibility and trustworthiness as a dining spot in Sedona. Even first-time visitors quickly feel a sense of reliability in the experience, knowing that quality and care are non-negotiable here. Overall, whether you’re craving a hearty breakfast, a satisfying lunch, or a sweet treat, Hideaway House offers a combination of comfort, quality, and welcoming charm that makes it a must-visit spot in Sedona.

After a long hike, my family and I were craving some good food, and a nice place to relax. Hideaway house provided that! Located on the side of the mountain, it boasted a beautiful view of the red rocks in Sedona. We loved the rustic vibe that the restaurant carried. As far as the food goes, it was just good. Not great, but good. We ordered the French Onion Soup as an appetizer, and I thought the petal-cut of the onions was an interesting choice. The peach pizza had great flavor, but it was a little too sweet. The fettuccini was presented well, but lacked flavor. Our server was extremely nice and did a great job making sure our needs were met as customers. The food was serviceable at best, but this restaurant is carried by its gorgeous atmosphere and views. Definitely a Sedona staple!

Our group of nine had a truly delightful evening at Hideaway House, thanks to the stunning red rock views and the accommodating service. The staff was friendly and made it easy to organize a large party. There is a fun gift shop as you enter to shop if there is a wait. We chose to sit on the patio to enjoy the scenery, and as the evening air turned chilly, we saw the staff thoughtfully provide blankets to some customers. It's a testament to their attention to detail. The menu was great, offering a variety of choices that pleased our entire group. The pizza crust was fantastic. Every member of our party, regardless of dietary preference, found something to enjoy, and the mocktail selection was a nice surprise. This quaint local eatery offers so much more than a meal; it provides a memorable dining experience with stellar views.

We visited for Happy Hour and loved it! The food was delicious, with large portions perfect for sharing. Stunning views and excellent serviceβ€”big shout-out to bartender Seth! The desserts were good, too. Parking can be tricky during peak times, as the free lot is small and limited, so expect to search for a spot or walk a bit. They charge 2% for credit card transactions.

We settled on Hideaway House after looking at it along with a few other restaurants in the area online. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of a parking area with several other businesses. There is a cool and funky vibe about the place. If you get a chance definitely sit outside. The view is tremendous. The food was really good we thought. Alex, our waiter, was super friendly and attentive without going overboard. We even got blankets as we ate dinner because it gets a bit chilly in Sedona in November. If you have the chance to eat here, we definitely recommend it!!

I have been here many times and always have an exceptional experience. My husband and I just had our rehearsal dinner here on Halloween for our wedding. The communication to set up dinner was amazing and they were so accommodating. Kat, our server, gave us stellar service! Everyone was taken care of- she gave the kids some entertainment and activities, ensured no ones drink ever went empty and made us feel very special on our wedding weekend. They even went above and beyond and decorated the tables for us to make it absolutely beautiful. Food is great - unique pizzas, delicious pastas and the flourless chocolate cake is my favorite dessert!! We will definitely continue to come back. Thank you hideaway house for making our wedding weekend so special
